What are they thinking?
Jun. 2nd, 2004 08:41 pmI don't really appreciate being preached to for an hour and a half about ideas that I have absolutely no problems accepting. Especially when the entire activity was meant to celebrate our good work.
I do not have a problem with dating. I doubt I will date in high school, because I am just not interested. I have my own interests and my own goals, and I don't want to attach myself to anyone who might get in the way of those things. Because of these ideas I have in my little mind, I am 100% positive that I will not be going out wearing a tube top and mini skirt just to take it all off within five minutes to have sex.
It's just not going to happen.
It's also not an issue for me to find "the one." Newsflash: there is no "one" person that is right for you, at least in my personal opinion. I am not going to get so hung up on this one guy while in my sophomore year in high school that I decide to marry him the second we graduate. Okay? Okay.
So WHY did we have a combination pizza party/"grill the old men" activity today about dating, high school not being the right time, and not getting into "bad" situations?
I'm not an idiot. I want to know why you think I need to know this crap. Because I don't. Anyone whose soul is worth saving has already figured out this information by the time they turned sixteen because they have a brain.
Merlin.
