...on the road to graduation, I suppose. I just hope the rest aren't all this hard and unexpected.

Over the long weekend (no school Monday), we were told to make a rough draft for our History paper on a Medieval topic we had already chosen. She gave us the format last Monday, but it is a completely different style of paper that no one has written before, at least in our class. All she told us about when it was due was that we needed a rough draft typed and printed at the beginning of class on Tuesday.

By second period we've all heard the news: the final copy of the paper is due tomorrow. Everyone is freaking. Most people wrote two to three pages (the final has to be less than five full pages but more than three) and some (read: me) wrote less than two pages.

I am so dead.

By the way, I have some new favorite songs: Stuck and Bounce Back by Stacie Orrico, As Is by Ani DiFranco (okay, so that one's not new), I'm With You by Avril Lavigne, and Aerials by System Of A Down. I don't know why I like any of them, really. With the Stacie Orrico songs it's probably the music, the really upbeat yet still down tone (especially in Stuck) that hasn't been done as well in a long time, in my opinion. As Is I have loved since I first read the lyrics by chance before I even listened to the song, and will always love. It is the kind of thing that I want to be able to say to someone someday, and it's not fluffy or anything -- it's actually kind of insulting, but in an I-only-love-you-because-you-are-such-an-arse kind of way. I'm With You I still don't completely understand; the only way the lyrics make any sense to me is to think of them in a Draco/Ginny kind of way (yeah, I know, I'm obsessed, but it could be worse). No matter if I understand or not, though, I am in love with the song. Aerials, I have decided, I love because of the blend of rock music and good-yet-often-un-understandable philosophy... I think. Yeah. /nod

My sister left for Idaho today. She'll be back in a week, she just had to take a quick test she couldn't take over fall term, but I'll miss her. I get kind of numbed to it from May to December because it's such a long period of time, but I really do miss her while she's gone. She's a lot of fun to be around, and she has a much better effect on me than my brother does, as she has seven times the morals he'll ever have. /wink, sigh I wish she was here.
