A Sad State

vollmusDid you know that the average lifespan of a Russian male is 55 years? It's because they drink so much, according to the Seattle Times—alcohol is the cause of the greatest gap between male and female lifespans of any country in the world. Just more proof that females are the superior sex, eh?
Youth Conference was horrendous. Well, okay, it was fun, especially griping about the dance lasting so long with #1, #3, #4, and everyone else, but I have never had more injuries on any single day before in my entire life—which really says something, because I can be very clumsy on occasion. I'm ridiculously glad I won't be expected to return next year.
Spain is officially one week from tomorrow. If my face doesn't return to its pale, slightly freckled self by that point, any and all cameras will be expressly forbidden. I don't think anyone will be very happy about that, so I'd better be fully recovered. Fie, fie upon thee, o vengeful Ra!
