Bellalina comes from all the way back in the good times at SFF when Rich and I were totally OHESSEXY. Actually, it was probably before OS X, but whatever. There was a thread started by akalekehe or however you spell that monster of a screen name that linked to a site that took your name and gave you your Hawaiian name or some-such nonsense. Mine, from Lynn, was Lina. I thought it was gorgeous. Around that time, Rich and I were coming up with names for websites, and I decided I wanted to use Lina in it somehow. We played around with a bunch of words in both French and Italian, my two favorite foreign languages, and bellalina was the final product. I still love it. It's simple, stupid, gorgeous, and a mix of Italian and Hawaiian. How much more ridiculous can you get? <3
