"It's not insanity," says Vanity Fair
Apr. 11th, 2005 02:53 amDo you ever go completely fangirl when you see something in particular? I have recently realized that I have an unhealthy obsession with ORC (one conference to rule them all!)--unhealthy because any mention of it and I go completely fangirl (bouncing, squeeing, etc), and because I didn't even go. My one high point in all this is that I never go searching for ORC stuff, I just keep randomly happening upon pictures, clips, transcripts, etc, and can't resist looking at everything, because there's always a ton, because it's only major fangirls who've put stuff up about it, and fangirls never do anything in small doses, and it's just fangirl!Lynn from there.
It's really anything movie!LotR for me. Sometimes when it's extremely late I get very fangirl over [Harry Potter] fanfiction, but I figure that's justified, as both have fan in the title. :nod It's usually over random Harry/Draco (Not slash! It means 'or' this time, people. Well, I guess it sometimes means slash, but really, who's checking?) quotes--sometimes Severus--that are really snarky, because that's what's so loveable about them and that's what I think triggers the fangirl juice into my bloodstream. Something like, "Why would I lie when the truth is so much more satisfying?" (HP & the Slytherin Connection, if you care, said by Voldemort and Harry, and finished by Draco and Severus many times) makes me bounce in my chair and cover my mouth as I laugh before I randomly flail my arms around in excitement, still giggling.
It's your turn to spill. I command thee, o lurkers: go forth and comment! for if thou commentest not, wo shall be unto you in the last days.
