My own scary movie.
Dec. 7th, 2003 02:39 amOh. My. Goddess. I was more scared out of my mind two minutes ago than I can remember since I saw The Ring. And over the silliest thing! I am so stupid! Ugh!
Anyways, I had just returned from the kitchen (went to get some toast), and was crossing the bonus room to get to my computer when something hit the window. I would say my jump was about three to five inches off the ground, as I was clutching a half-full glass of orange juice that didn't spill. I was scared beyond belief... my mind started conjuring images of some murderer; some were stalkers, some serial killers, some with rotting skin and long black hair, some with insanely familiar but unplacable faces... I knew all the different ways each could kill me, even if I couldn't tell you exactly what they were now, because if I "squint" in my mind I come up with flashes. I stood there, holding onto my plate and glass for dear life, imagining all these things for what seemed like an eternity, before I gathered my courage, set down my things, and pulled the string to open the blinds, bit by tiny bit.
I can't describe how relieved I was that there wasn't some kind of 3D, human-ish being out there on the deck about to break through the windows and kill me in some horrendous way. Once the relief faded a bit (it's still there some), I felt majorly stupid. And for some insane reason, I decided that I needed to post for all my friends to see how much of an idiot I am. *shakes head in disbelief* I have some major problems, man.
TOAST! Do you know how much I love toast? It is one of the best-tasting healthy snacks/meals out there, man! I mourn the loss of my old toaster though, because it added a nice, very light flavor to the toast that our new one doesn't. XD
I made a new graphic today. My first true-blue new graphic in a looong time... since September, maybe? That was one awful blend, but I suppose it counts. Anways, here it is. It was made specifically for my ezboard sig. Tell me what you think...? :)
The song lyrics (on the top) are from Emiliana Torrini's "Dead Things." I discovered Gollum's Song, which is sung by her, a long time ago, around when the LotR:TTT Soundtrack came out with it on it, but never really thought about what else she sang until today. Or yesterday, I guess, however you want to look at it. She's a really good singer, IMO, and the majorly-different-but-still-the-same style of her songs is intriguing to me. I can't find many songs by her though, so I'll just have to wait and get one of her CD's when I have some more money.
