I have this fear now that my life will end up something like Elphaba's: going from, "My future is unlimited" to "Together we're unlimited" to "I'm limited."

If that happens, I'll die. My future is unlimited. If I work hard enough, I can do anything I want. That's the American Dream. And getting your dreams is thrilling.

Right?

Glinda knows the answer to this one.

Sigh.

I was feeling better there for a bit, and then I started thinking about all the stupid things I've done. I was thinking about questions and then questions in French and then y and en in questions and commands and then about that test and then...

Destruction.

Could I please spontaneously combust now?

So I'm reading this fanfic.

(I figured you might want to leave after that, so I'm giving you space to do so. Go ahead.)

The author uses this amazing quote from Tamora Pierce about how love is about friendship and being yourself rather than about giddiness and passion. She then proceeds to write a story about giddiness and passion. Okay, so not really giddiness, but all about "fire, passion,... and strained emotions." The author is all, I totally agree that true love is more of a quiet love, blah blah blah, and then she goes and writes this crap.

Merlin, save me from these ignorami.

If a place is full of stupid peeople, could you say it has a dense population?

HOYL CRAP! PROTEGE MOI ISN'T FRENCH!
Well, okay, it's French--but sung by Britons. And originally done in English. How does he sound so different and so much more intense during the English part of the French version than he ever does in the English version?
The French version is so much better. But at least now I know what the song is about; I never bothered to look up the lyrics and Placebo before.
