Ding Dong--or, My Bus Could Eat Your Bus
Jun. 19th, 2004 05:09 amHark how the bells
Sweet silver bells
All seem to say
Throw cares away
Christmas is here
Bringing good cheer
To young and old
Meek and the bold
Ding dong ding dong
That is their song
With joyful ring
Or caroling
One seems to hear
Words of good cheer
From everywhere
Filling the air
Gayly they ring
While people sing
Songs of good cheer
Christmas is here
On and on they send
On without end
Their joyful tone
To every home
(Ding dong ding dong
Ding ding ding dong)
(Merry merry merry Christmas
Merry merry merry Christmas)
I've had Carol of the Bells (Opera of the Bells? I've heard both, though Opera seems to be the name for the professionally performed versions of it rather than the plain ole' lyrics and melody) lurking in the back of my mind since Lexi asked me what the words were in the van on the way to the Bellis Fair Mall for Maria's birthday, and now I've finally listened to it.
Now I just need to memorize it.
I sense yearbook filler here...
